Whether you choose to wear a costume or just come to watch, everyone is welcome to join in the West Hollywood Gay Halloween Street Parade. There are food vendors on the streets and all the gay bars are open. Enjoy your stroll along the gay 1.5 mile strip of Santa Monica Blvd. and visit the
21 GAY BARS, 26 GAY SHOPS, and
69 GAY FRIENDLY RESTAURANTS.
BANDS, DJS, CELEBRITIES, PARTIES
Outside along Santa Monica Blvd. you'll find live bands, DJ's with outdoor dancing, and
A-List celebrities at Millions of Milkshakes.
It's simply an incredible event of massive proportions that can't be described unless you come see it for yourself.
Food is served from booths lining the street, a beer garden is available, and all of the 21 gay bars are open for cocktails.
West Hollywood removes most parking permit restrictions making it a bit easier to park on normally restricted residential streets.
Given West Hollywood's tolerant cultural history, its massive numbers of gay visitors, and its huge actor, model, and celebrity population, this particular evening explodes in creativity and expression. The warmer the weather, the more titillating the costumes. Photos & videos tell the story.

Permit parking will be waived citywide from 5 PM on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 through 6 AM on Thursday, November 1, 2012. Parking meters are still enforced.
Observe the city borders of West Hollywood; Los Angeles & Beverly Hills will continue to enforce ALL of their own parking regulations.

There is SO MUCH HAPPENING on Halloween Weekend in Gay West Hollywood, we need to keep you UP-TO-DATE via facebook, Google+, and twitter, so hook in on all the fun!
On Wednesday evening, October 31 2012, over half a million visitors will descend on Santa Monica Blvd., which will be shut down for the 2012 West Hollywood Halloween Street Party & Carnaval, THE LARGEST HALLOWEEN STREET PARTY IN THE WORLD.
The halloween parade begins at 7:00pm along the 1.5 mile strip of Santa Monica Blvd. past the gay bars. The HUGE event has SIX ENTERTAINMENT STAGES!
You'll enjoy the craziest, most eccentric costume creations ever. The big draws of the evening are the Halloween Costume Contest and crowning of an Honorary "Queen of the Carnaval." Visitors can also expect fantastic live entertainment and food vendors. Admission is free and the event starts at 6 PM and runs late.
There's something fun for everyone to see including gays enjoying their one night a year in fabulous drag, amazing group costumes, fun pop culture costumes, and thousands and thousands of other costumed visitors. It's a magical night where you can feel the positive energy of gays & straights together reveling in a bizarre fantasy world that could only happen in Gay West Hollywood.
West Hollywood's Santa Monica Blvd. is completely closed for the evening and transformed into a large masquerade ball with large-scale custom decorations framing the food vendor booths and stages. (Vendors aren't allowed to display their own signage to maintain a consistent theme.)
